Sightseeing Escalator in China - Use this to move pedestrians from Panther Island to Downtown/Sundance Square

A good idea, except that an escalator close to ground level might be difficult in light of the building obstructions along the way to Sundance Square Plaza. I posted in the Forum awhile back an idea of one or more escalator-like "pedestrian arches" spanning downtown. One end of each arch would be located at a peripheral site and the other end somewhere in the middle of downtown, maybe at Sundance Square Plaza. These would serve as a people-mover, as a means of sightseeing from far above downtown, and as a signature statement.

Not intending to repeat myself here. But the discussions about the rejection of a hotel in the Cultural District and near the museums got me to thinking about these escalator archways--not just from Panther Island to Sundance Square but also from Sundance Square to the Cultural District. I know this visionary idea is far-fetched for Fort Worth (evidently not for China), but what a signature statement for our city! And what a draw of tourists word-wide it would be! Got to stop daydreaming about what Cowtown could be in the future.
