Great pics, Nitixope. The ones of St. Andrews church are especially terrific. John, thanks for leading our group. I always learn something new on these tours. Fort Worth, and Dallas too, both have some amazing church buildings from yesteryear that are still alive and functioning today. The magnificence of the architecture and the architectural details tells me that faith was very important to the people who built our City, and apparently still is, which I'm glad.
BTW, the St. Andrew's organist gave the tour group a mini organ concert on their awe inspiring organ. It made my Christmas this year.

For those who want to make a day of it tomorrow, immediately after the walking tour, the Fort Worth Stock Show All Western Parade starts in Downtown Fort Worth. If those two events are not enough for you, Tarrant County is hosting tours of the Historic Tarrant County Courthouse from 12:30 until 3 PM.

If you missed the Tarrant County Courthouse Tour, there will be another one during the Main Street Arts Festival.

Austin just mentioned this in another thread. The Downtown Fort Worth Walking Tour leaves Downtown in the month of April for a tour of the Near Southside. We can't cover all of the area, but we do hit the far northern section that is accessible from the Texas & Pacific Railway Terminal. The tour will be held at 9:00 AM on April 13. To sign up, go to Tim Young's website at: https://www.timdyoung.com/tours/

Unfortunately, no. I'm going to try to reach out again this week. However, I have a minor procedure for my dental implants, so I may be out of commission, some.

The Bicocchi Building was built immediately after the fire. However, he had owned the property since 1899 and actually built several commercial buildings on the site before the Southside Fire in 1909. We talked a little bit about the Fort Worth High School across Jennings Ave. on the tour. It actually survived the fire in 1909, but ironically was destroyed in 1910 by a fire. The good news was that the FWISD had voted prior to the fire to replace the building with a newer and larger high school on South Jennings. It was completed in 1911.
