Prohibiting "sanctuary city" status is a national issue.   But my take on the political decision facing the Fort Worth City Council (Star-Telegram article below) is more to the issue of a state or municipality following a law or opposing it by litigation.  That seems to be Mayor Price's position against joining a lawsuit.

My intuition leads me to;  and my empathy for any family that will be caught up in this leads me to support joining the lawsuit with our other major Texas cities. What will happen is that Fort Worth will mess this up; people will not come forward for emergency or medical services; will not call for police;  children will have anxiety and fear of losing a parent and Fort Worth will be labeled "ground zero" for being the Texas City of Fear.  I hope that I am wrong and somehow this label will not happen.  I regret that Fort Worth is going alone on this.
