Vaquero is now open!
Yes! I stopped by there after lunch today and spoke with John and Chris. Looks like a great shop.

At one time, Sundance Square allowed for an independent?? coffee shop popular with the bohemian crowd for which I found refreshing in this City. It was rumored that the coffee shop's crowd fell out of favor with SSq and was eventually replaced with a Starbucks.
The fate of Vaqueros Coffee will be hampered by the Worthington Hotel which has created something of a psychological barrier for sections of First, Main and Houston streets. Businesses have a difficult time in this dead spot.
I hope that VC can reignite the crowd feelings generated by the indy coffee shop in SSq. If it can become a late night cafe, I think it stands a chance. I am certainly pulling for it.

We should try to patronize this business as much as we can. After all, Jonathan Heath is a forum member! I wish them the best of luck.

After stopping by with my tour group from the Downtown Fort Worth Walking Tour, we do intend to send business your way when we get that far north. I will also stop by when I'm that part of Downtown. However, I will admit that I am not around the Courthouse near as much as I used to be before Tarrant County put so much information online. I have also plugged your shop with my co-workers.
