I also posted this in "politics" but this is a non-political event.
I would very much like to invite the YOU to join us as...

The LMRA Bicycle Club hosts
"Roll out the Vote 2012!"
on Saturday the 27th of October starting at 8:00am from LMRA (3400 Bryant-Irvin Rd)
---we would certainly welcome any/all of this forum's users to join us.

The ride will begin with an easy paced 6.5 mile route to Benbrook's Community Center/Tarrant County Early Voting Location (Mercedes Rd across from Benbrook Elementary School). Registered voters of Tarrant County can early vote at any Tarrant County early voting center.

We will park and watch bicycles while all those wishing have an opportunity to vote. After, those wishing to ride back to LMRA will have leader if necessary, others are welcome to join LMRABC on their weekly breakfast ride (Lucile’s on Camp Bowie), or set off on their own routes as they elect.

There will be no political speeches, no discussion of who should be elected, just an effort to get out the vote from a group of bicyclists. Additionally, this is another opportunity to humanize bicyclists to the motoring public. A bicycle is more than just a mechanical object in the roadway---it is a person, a member of the community, a voter, and a neighbor; seeing us as a group voting further illustrates this to the general public.

Bring a Bike, Bring a Helmet, and Bring a Friend!
If you cannot join us- consider riding your bike to your nearest voting location with a friend.
"Exercise your Vote!"

As a last item, LMRABC scheduled rides are considered weather canceled in case of rain or wet roadways.

Thank you,
Jim Wilson

Forecast says it will be cold Saturday morning...
... so dress warm and we'll see you there!

Long fingered gloves, etc.
