Okay, I'm a fan of the TCU horned frogs, and they're Fort Worth's home team.  TCU just completed a beautiful, and expensive, expansion of it's football stadium.  So, just my opinion, TCU should get it's money's worth and not be playing any home games at AT&T stadium in Arlington.  Even if it is against LSU.

I agree to. I can see why they do it as Cowboys (not calling it AT&T) is also new and shiny.

From a money point of view, having the game against LSU at AT&T is a no brainer.  A school that travels well, less than a days drive away.  I would be willing to bet TCU's split of the gate revenue in Arlington blows their home game revenue out of the water.

I understand the profit argument.  Maybe a cost/benefit calculation that playing at AT&T stadium for a big game is a bonanza for all concerned.  BUT, I also think it's a matter of pride for both TCU fans and Fort Worth, and the ill-logic of building a bigger stadium you're going to use only for the lesser games?

I have nothing against Arlington, but that city is home town to UT Arlington, not TCU.  Do they still have a football team?

Meh.  You're just being silly.  If you understand the profit argument, that's the end of the discussion, but that's what drives them to play in JerryWorld.

It wasn't a home game for TCU though.  It was played in lieu of a home-and-home series.  These games played in 3rd party stadiums are relatively common, and as long as it doesn't take a home game away from me (since I have season tickets), I'm good with it.

Don't you think that most TCU fans were excited to watch their team in Cowboys Stadium?  I sure do...

Exactly. In Lieu of home-and-home. TCU got $3.5 million for playing that game at Jerry World. Better to play in A/C there than another 120°+ day in early September at home!
