Very poor signage in my opinion. Luckily, Batteryhenge will make you forget all about it.

Not that it helps, but they have put the remainder of the plastic faces on the sign and all of "One" is red. I was going to take pictures, but there was too much construction going on and no place to park.

What's wrong with calling it RadioShack?

And I'm definately going to have to make my way downtown to see the progress of the store. I only have a vague concept of what it was supposed to look like when it's finished.

This might be a play on words.

Radioshack has at least 2 types of stores: RS owned stores and Franchise stores. RS owned stores "inhouse jargon" are called 01 stores (pronounced oh 1). Since this is their home office display store.. maybe they wanted to call it Store "oh"ne ?

I am pretty sure it is just "store number 1" in their books and systems, so they named it StoreOne. I like it.

This store also sells "better quality" gear than your typical Radio Shack -- although I doubt they will compete with the likes of say, a Home Theatre Store or Marvin's.

When you think of a typical RS store, you think of dinky, cheap A/V products. I believe they are hoping to shed that image with the new store, logo, etc.
