I've always been a big fan of old Art-Deco style movie posters, along with art deco in general. I wanted to try and make some of my own of FW buildings. They make good posters or phone backgrounds perhaps. Made with a combination of sketchup and photo editing. 

First one I've made, Cheasapeir 1.

I showed a friend who wanted me to make her one, and she used to work @ Burnett. Since I'm still learning it seemed like an easy one.

I've got a few more I'd like to do, working on the courthouse, Sundance, and Sinclair and Blackstone buildings. Eventually I'd like to do a compilation of several buildings. 

So what does the forum think? Ya'll like em? Any thing I should do different? Any buildings you'd like to see done?

Wow!  Love these.  Very creative.  Bet you could make some money turning these into posters and post cards.  A fun challenge would be art deco-ing something in the Stockyards.  Or how about the rose ramp at the Botanic Gardens (which just got voted best arboretum in Texas by viewers of Texas Country Reporter - San Antonio's botanic garden and Moody Gardens in Galveston got second and third respectively).

I like the light beams but try the same sort of thing with "radio waves", which was the new technology back in the '20's. See vintage posters for ideas on how to visualize this.
