Interesting concept

"If you enjoy the simple pleasure of walking but wish it got you from A to B as quickly as cycling"

You get the exercise of walking (using an elliptical) but the cycle can generate speeds up to 15 mph.

I know someone who bought an ElliptiGo.  It is similar to your product above.  I wasn't impressed with the quality of construction but I like the concept.  The gear system made a very noticeable sound when in-stride for some reason....I had assumed it was a cheap $299 mail order deal, but when I checked online, was surprised at the entry level model starts around $1800.  This sort of exercise is supposedly a lot less harmful to your back and neck than traditional biking.  If you are adverse to traditional biking due to injury or age, I'd suggest a recumbent trike...Greenspeed makes some great equipment that you can link in tandem or go solo.

This looks similar to the "lying down" bicycles I've seen on occasion along the Trinity River trails.

Just saw this article in WSJ about powered skateboards...

The idea is a skateboard makes more sense than a bike if you're meeting up with a bus.  Pretty cool but I'm holding out for the Back to the Future Hoverboard.
