MSNBC was on a three state tour - Maine, Nevada and Texas - to get feedback on a number of public and presidential issues. To my surprise and delight, Fort Worth was chosen as the broadcast central for Texas. From the Stockyards, MSNBC broadcasted live. There was a drone view of Downtown that morning, lots of scenes of the Stockyards and remote scenes of Main Street, city hall in Dallas, the canned skylines of Houston and Austin; and remote scenes from San Antonio and the Rio Grand Valley.
IMO, Fort Worth cultural uniqueness out shined pictures coming from other locales in the state. I'm guessing that the Stockyards caused outside viewers more curiosity about Cowtown and its quirkiness.
