I agree.  He's also on a quest to visit all 50 states in 2017 and I read a couple of posts saying that Dallas and Fort Worth were his first visits of that tour.

There's speculation of a Presidential run in the future...

Could the announcement of additional data centers for Fort Worth's Alliance region (Facebook, T5 Data and others) bode well for Fort Worth's chances at Amazon?  Apparently, the staffing of these data centers require a significant amount of specialized labor which has been cited as one of the City's shortcomings for Amazon.

I thought the forum had discussed Facebook's data center in north Fort Worth, but I couldn't find it. The facility is 150 acres, cost $1 billion, and opened in 2017. Now Facebook is planning 277,000 sqft of new construction there. https://www.msn.com/...ter/ar-BB19nKSM

There is a thread on this topic.  It was started in 2015 and the last post was in 2018.  I found it on the last page of 5 after searching for "Facebook" on the forum.  I have merged the threads.

Facebook's data center expansion plan, as explained in this FWBP article, appears to be for the purpose of archiving.  Incidentally, I don't think Fort Worthians, or even Texans, are aware that a lot of their stuff posted on FB is being processed and stored locally.

That certainly puts it atop the list of most expensive buildings in Fort Worth.

You would be hard pressed to find another facility with more square feet per employee.  TMS is probably up there, especially after they cut a huge portion of their permanent staff back in the spring.
