Like it or not, you've got to give it to Dallas. The development in that city happens so incredibily fast. West Dallas was on nobody's radar LESS than 10 years ago and it has simply exploded with new development (although I find that pedestrian bridge near Trinity Groves a little odd). I was in Dallas this weekend and there are already highrises going up around Klyde Warren Park. Deep Ellum totally died and has already made a complete comeback with construction everywhere and parking lots and streets full. Pretty impressive.

Are you talking about Continental St. Bridge? What do you find weird about it?

Yes. Weird might be the wrong word. I just don 't like it very much. Perhaps if there was actually water under it, it would seem more like a bridge. It just seems like it's there for no particular reason. The skyline view from it is breathtaking though.

Here's the preservationist in me. I applaud Dallas for keeping the bridge once it was replaced, and what better way to use it than for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The Trinity Ditch runs under it, just like Large Marge directly to the south.
