 "....Oudt said Fort Worth requires an approved final plat before starting construction. Dallas, on the other hand, allows construction to move forward with an approved preliminary plat."  Read more.

We have to deal with all of the issues mentioned in the article every time we do a project within the City of Fort Worth, which is a majority of our work.

Representing a rental property owner seeking a rezoning with site plan recently, I experienced some of the delays in the process.  Maybe some streamlining of the process is necessary.  But I believe managed urban growth means getting it right even if it takes a little longer.
