There's a sign at the gate near the farmer's market that says something along the lines of "New delivery vehicle security entrance".

JRB has played host to the Blue Angels retired support C-130 for the last year or so. It should probably be in a museum and likely will be one day, but for now, it plays some sort of training role at the local base. The Navy acquired a soon-to-retired C-130J from the UK in 2019 to be the new support plane and it started its overseas trip home this week. That trip included an extended stop at the JRB yesterday that attracted quite the crowd of aviation enthusiasts and photographers to the area around the base late yesterday afternoon.
