Less about politics (I guess) and more about pride in our city and the honor due a man who was second in line of succession to be U.S. president.  Dallas has its George W. Bush presidential library (and he isn't even from Dallas).  Fort Worth's own Jim Wright was our long-time congressman and Speaker of the House in 1987-89.  He's still around and recently spoke at the JFK memorial ceremony here.  Not sure whether there's a Jim Wright center of public studies in our city, but I believe he should have one.

I believe he has a freeway, no? But if course no one refers to it by name. ;-)

Yes, the northern and western portions of Loop 820 are called the Jim Wright Freeway. The city street signs at the intersection note are a triple decker with Jim Wright Freeway on top, cross street in the center, and W Loop 820 S on the bottom. Freeway signs only note it as Interstate 820.

TCU should jump on this. Wright has taught several classes there in recent years, public affairs I believe. They named their journalism school for Bob Schieffer.
