Was this tire / automotive center part of the department store?
This structure was originally a Texaco gas station back in the '50's and '60's (Maybe into the '70's). It later became a tire dealer and seemed to do quite well. The building partially shown to the left in this picture was originally a Fair Department Store. Later it became an office building. Just a couple of examples of how the old Westcliff Shopping Center was a vibrant multi-purpose shopping center. It had almost any store/business you could imagine. Even its hardware store was the best in the city.
