If you've ever been walking or biking in Trinity Park or Botanic Gardens and wanted to go from one to the other without driving or trying to cross University then this is might be a good solution.

Welcome to the Fort Worth Forum. We are a very partisan group of bloggers when it comes to this city.  You will do just fine mixing in more of Fort Worth into your DFW Droneaire website.

As to the pedestrian/bike bridge over University Drive, that is and would be an awesome solution that is just perfect for that location.

Thank you!  Love this site and reading all that is happening here. The Pedestrian bridge would be perfect along University someplace connecting the two parks. I've played Frogger too many times trying to cross that street. A "Green cap" type bridge would more or less make the two parks seamless for pedestrians.

Tree-lined pedestrian bridge linking two heavily touristed attractions in Fort Worth.  Great idea, and one would hope that someone in the city administration has the imagination, creativity, and initiative to carry such an idea into fruition (it would be worth the budgeted expenditure, in my opinion).

I LOVE that idea of the bridge - not just any bridge, but the gradual, sloped bridge that basically allows the ground to continue over the road.

Anyone know the name of that type of bridge?  I know I've seen that solution before somewhere but can't remember where.

I think the only small issue is that a bridge with a totally natural surface might be hard for bikers to cross, a bit of pavement would help that.

I agree, It would be good to add pavement in the middle and leave planters/soil along the sides. Kind of like Klyde Warren Park in Dallas only much smaller.

It may be that if you were to somehow get someone's attention by sharing your idea/photo with either the Botanic Gardens or Fort Worth Parks or both, it could gather some serious consideration.

I think that it is a great concept.
