12.5 mph top speed is not what I would call "freedom of movement, of travel."  The overhype of that video is cringe-worthy.

 

And the way its creator seems elated that he can keep his balance in it while moving only a few feet at less than walking pace is underwhelming.

Second thoughts about this technology...If you can get it to go a bit faster (say, 20 mph) and higher (say, up to 3 feet), with an extended-life and quick rechargable battery.  And, instead of standing on it, either sitting with seat belt or lying face down, with reliable maneuverability, a fun recreational vehicle.
