Anyone know what the total height is of the planned new Crescent West office building?

And what the total height is of the current Crescent East one?  I think those are the names they mentioned.

Can't open the DMN one but saw on FWBP and  FW Inc website & newsletter.

I care a lot about how these meet the streets - esp W 7th Streets.  Those driveways they do in the office buildings in uptown Dallas can make really awkward sidewalk environments. I mention those b/c Crescent has built in that uptown Dal NH and could see how they or design team might take cues from what has worked well there.

There is a big silver stripe on the southern elevation of the building.  Looks like repairing something.

I think the silver color looks much better than the chocolate brown they chose to use (that will presumably be the color that covers the silver, which I think is just exposed buildign material).

They really should have chosen lighter colors and a simpler color pattern.  As someone noted on the A&M FW thread, there is already so much beige in southern downtown, brown was not the color that was needed.

More traffic headaches ahead as Fort Worth plans 18-month road closure for Panther Island

Well, good opportunity to line that street with trees, as it should have been done years ago.  Would go a long way to make a major connection within central parts of FW look way better, cool pavement, etc.

I wonder how much of this development would occur if the city wasn't so willing to suck it all up and annex every square inch it can get.

If a place like this, or Walsh, had to stand on their own, or be a part of the growth of their real neighbor city, I imagine their growth might be a little bit different.

I also wonder how much these people will really identify as being a citizen of Fort Worth.  There's a good chance they won't have a Fort Worth zip code, their kids won't be going to FWISD schools, etc.

I wish I had cut out an article in the paper from like 20 years ago where they interviewed people who lived in far north Fort Worth, and they didn't even realize for a few years that they actually lived in Fort Worth for the reasons I mentioned above.

You raise a few good points but want to focus on how we make sure that newly added parts of Fort Worth get Fort Worth zip codes.

It is really confusing when a home or business is in Fort Worth but the post office associated with it is in a nearby municipality.  Surely there is some way to influence that.

In Topic: Proposed new apartment building near TCU

Anyone know the cast of companies or individuals who have been or are developing these near TCU?  I see Purple Housing is marketing the one most recently posted, but I don't know if they are just a management/leasing company or if they develop them.

Whomever it is needs to PLANT SOME TREES in front of these.  It doesn't cost much and makes SUCH A DIFFERENCE.  PLEASE.
