In browsing the UTA Libraries Digital Gallery, I found a photograph of the Stripling's Appliance Store and Parking Garage that was demolished to build the Wells Fargo Tower.  A companion Art Deco facade was on the main Stripling's Department Store that was demolished to build the Renaissance Worthington Hotel.

I wonder if the now H&M building was designed with this in mind. It looks similar.

Austin, I have seen a building in South Beach that looks more like the H&M than the old Stripling's Appliance Store.  What I always liked about the building on Main is that they used the Stripling's logo and made it diagonally go up the curve and then outline it in neon.  It was demolished in 1979 with the neon sign in place.
