Double Decker Trams have been around for years. I know at least one in Blackpool, England.

These, however, are more modern and have been proposed since 2012 for Stockholm to be built 11 years from now.

The best thing about them is that they can carry as many people as they would if two cars were connected, but would take up a smaller footprint.

Just thought I'd see what you guys thought about it.

For the size and probable cost it doesn't look like it would seat very many riders. There doesn't even look like much room to stand on board. From the design it looks like more of a vehicle for pricey tourist services rather than for city transportation. Is this an electric vehicle? I can't tell if there is any room for an engine and there is no catenary system shown in the illustrations...

It would be electric. And I count about 60 seats there, so probably some on the bottom could be taken off for bike and handicap space.

(Keep in mind that it's still a concept)

These streetcars would work where ridership is higher. Their main disadvantage is their height, with overhead obstructions like light stop lights and skywalks.  Note the stop lights in the photo posted earlier.
