Just in case in the future this city decides to build a new Main Street bridge....
It's a suspension bridge (those wires may be just a bit too think around) and as you can see, it's very noticeable. Basically replacing a signature bridge with another signature bridge that's large enough to be a regional landmark, but small enough not to look so out of place...
One thing you can pick up very quickly about this bridge is that it's much wider. Room enough for 6 lanes (2 of them with light rail) and a bricked bike/pedestrian sections.
This bridge would be around 100' tall as far as the towers holding the bars go.

It would make for a very impressive entrance from Uptown to Downtown with the Tarrant County Courthouse in the middle.
As far as lighting goes, I would would take away your typical street lights and have floodlighting in the median. Sort of like what you see on Lancaster Corridor.
There would be lighting under the bridge for pedestrians. And the bars on connected to the towers would have floodlighting as well. I'd love to show this, but I don't know how to do lighting in Sketch Up.
