I just past the old Holiday Inn South off of I-35 and it's now FORT WORTH SOUTH HOTEL. It was just recently converted to a Best Western Plus+ (assuming its Best Western's "higher end" chain) a few months ago. Hadn't even last a year. Before that it was a Raddison for only a handfull of years. It's always seems to have guests and hosting events. I live nearby it, so I see how active it gets. I'm just wondering after it was a Holiday Inn for so many years, its difficult for it to have an owner that can commit to staying. Any info out there?

UPDATE!

I just remembered to post this, but a little over two weeks ago, I passed by the hotel and Radisson just took over AGAIN. Sign on the front and a temporary banner on the side with the hotel logo printed on it and says "NOW OPEN". Hmm, I wonder how long this will last this time...

Apparently that hotel has a good Indian restaurant now. Bud Kennedy recently wrote about it: http://www.star-tele...le45177573.html (bottom of column)

Wasn't that the the same hotel that was a Crowne Plaza for a while?

I believe it was a Crowne Plaza Hotel for a short time.

I live near there too.  I've been to a couple of functions there and their banquet facilities are pretty good.  My mom stayed there several years ago when my son graduated high school and we simply didn't have enough room at the house for everyone.

And yeah, we noticed the branding changed again as well.  I wonder if it's changing ownership each time, or if an owner is playing hotel companies off on each other for the best deal.
