If y'all end up going to Benitos, please post it here.  Also, are there multiple trucks, or just one per day?  Facebook indicated that today's truck will be Salsa Limon.

There are usually two or three trucks.  However, this is the first time I have been there in rainy weather.  It may be that when the weather is forecast like it is today, the trucks don't come.  I'm almost thinking it's too late to change the location.

Well, I'll probably show up.  If it is raining and there are no trucks, I'll just follow you and Austin to Benitos or Paco & Johns or Yucatan or wherever.

Sounds good.  If the trucks are not there, then we will go to Benito's.

The rain stopped just for us.  We had a group of six attend this meeting, and it was a lot of fun.  RD Milhollin, Austin55, Dangr.dave, HFW & FWBA Member Tommy Simmons, and HFW & FWBA Member Phil Moore attended.  I want to thank all of you who braved the not so bad weather to come and have lunch.  We will do it again on Friday, May 29th.

If you all are wondering why I have been out of touch since the forum meeting, I went back to work, then went home and the storm hit.  I lost power at 6:30 on Friday and I didn't get it back until late last night.  I had the top of my tree fall and it landed where it blocked my front door.  I had to chop it up and put it by the curb.  Other than that, there wasn't any damage from the storm.

No, you can't go inside the mansion, unless you have reserved a tour.  The Carriage House is open for eating under a roof.  It's still outdoors, but you are protected.  However, if it is raining, we would still have to stand outside at the food trucks to order the food.

We had a great forum meeting today.  The rain gave us a break, but it was unsettled enough that the Food Park was not crowded.  There were seven of us there.  We had the District 9 City Councilwoman Ann Zadeh, Fortworthology, qmcgown, Doohickie, Volare, and People are Strange in attendance.  There was only one food truck there, and it was Salsa Limon.  However, the discussion was fun and I really enjoyed having everyone there who could attend.  It's apparent to me that once we have started to meet on a monthly basis that this is beginning to pay off.  Granted, it would be nice to have a longer time to discuss things, but the topics can always wait until the next meeting.  I want to thank everyone for coming and I'm hoping that we will have another lively group on the last Friday in June.  Please reserve June 26th for our next forum meeting.

I can't realize it, but this Friday is our next Forum Lunch.  We will meet at the Food Park at Thistle Hill again for some outdoor dining.  Please try to be there about 11:45, if you can.

Very enjoyable lunch discussion, guys. And nice to put more names with faces. I especially enjoyed some of the unfiltered insight into what is happening with the Stockyards, particularly the background that John and Quentin were able to provide. It's a shame that our local media is leaving so much of this story in the dark.

I will be out of town the last week of August and will have Friday classes this Fall, so I probably won't be able to attend another meeting until Nov or Dec.

It's at the Food Park at Thistle Hill.  The address is 1509 Pennsylvania Ave., and you can park on the west side of the house off of Pruitt Street.  Cook Children's Hospital has allowed us to use a few spaces in their parking lot.

It rained on that day.  I know there is a chance of rain tomorrow, but I bet it won't affect the number of trucks showing up.  Summertime showers usually don't last very long.

It was a great meeting today.  I want to thank everyone who showed up.  Next month, we have an issue.  I have a scheduling conflict and I cannot attend.  We have two choices and we will go by the majority opinion.  The scheduled meeting date is Friday, August 28th.  We can keep the meeting date the same, and I will just not be there.  Anyone present would still have a lively discussion on anything and everything.  The other option is to move the date.
