The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting that Urban Outfitters will be moving into the building where Gavrel Furs is located now at the southeast corner of 7th and Foch Streets.

Hmm, looking at this piece of property.. imo Urban Outfitters need a bigger establishment, yes?

I can't think of a business that would not be better than a fur store. I hope they are going out of business...

The article says the fur store is moving. If I recall correctly, the guy that owns (or owned) it posted on the forum when W. 7th construction was getting started.

That's a pretty unique looking space(not a generic strip center space) and I'm sure Urban Outfitters will do well in Fort Worth. I like their clothes, but I quickly forget that when I see the price. I was over spending that type of money on clothes many, many years ago.

I guess so. Don't ask me how I remember that. I remember him posting about parking concerns and whatnot.

Yes, he was posting about parking concerns. Those issues have not gone away, as we can see from other threads on this forum. I still think a money-making garage that is not tied to any development would be great for the area.

Here is a shot of the progress on this building. It looks much better now with a little restoration work.

Urban Outfitters was JAMMED during the holidays. Foch Street was buzzing with pedestrians on weekend days, which had not been the case even a few months ago. Will customers bound for Urban Outfitters understand when they are told they arent supposed to park at the neighboring properties?

When this area becomes much more urbanized, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.... hopefully.

I think eventually all of the parking problems will work themselves out. My general philosophy when going to the area is to find a place to park on the street, walk to all of the places I want to go, then walk back to the car. This way, I'm not towed and I'm free to go where I please, and I don't have to move my car to a bunch of different lots. I have usually move my car when I go to Montgomery Plaza, because my final stop is sometimes for groceries at Super Target.
