I drove by the intersection today and notice that those little orange survey flags are all around this property. There also appears to be a couple of streetlight poles lying on the ground as if they had been removed.

Is this a sign of a potential announcement or groundbreaking?

I hope so! Last week I saw a backhoe doing some utility work. Can't wait to see this one get going.

DFWI seems to have updated the project page. Seems it will start in Summer.

Let hope this is truly the case... I despise seeing an open lot at this intersection... can’t wait until the lot at Henderson & 7th is developed.

Hearing this fell through. Evidently it was a long time ago. It has been removed from DFWI's website as well.

That said, hope is that site is prime and should attract some attention. Fingers crossed something even bigger comes along.

Pretty big news that this Louisiana bank wants to build a big new building near downtown. Great for them. Great that they are doing well. I am excited about the news.

Only one problem for me. They are going to build on the lot that I have wanted to buy for 6 years. (Never negotiated with anybody, just wanted to buy the building)

Maybe because it wasn't a taller structure or a more unique building, I'm not nearly as disappointed as I would have been.

Most of the Upper Westside is a blank canvas the way I see it, so it gives me even more hope.

I have no clue if this is still going on or not but I was poking around Henry S. Miller's website (New Sundance reps) and found this project on there.

https://henrysmiller...t/vogue-living/

In Luke Ranker's recent article there was talk of a 200 unit building here, but the website mentions 300, so there's an odd discrepancy there. The property was also sold as mentioned a few posts up.

Just wanted to share.
