A recent visit to Plaza Medical of Fort Worth afforded the opportunity to ponder about the tall brown building at the corner of 8th Street and Pennsylvania. What is the building's name? Is it historically or culturally significant in Fort Worth. It looks to be perhaps an apartment building and may be abandoned. Any information about it is appreciated.

Well, if we're talking about the same building with the retail strip and chinese buffet on the first floor the, according to www.fortwortharchitecture.com, that is Westchester Plaza - 554 S. Summit Ave. built in 1951

Currently a retirement home...Mr. Avvy works for a hospital across the street from it, and has had to deal with wandering residents due to Westchester's better than adequate security....but I digress.
