The less human contact the better these days IMO.

Thank you John, Would be curious on thoughts from those who didn't like the design what your thoughts of this would be

Love the hotel but lose the palm trees.  This isn't Miami...  Otherwise, two thumbs up from me.

Face it...  this why Fort Worth will always be in the shadow of Dallas.  Fort Worth will never shake its Cowtown image because the leaders in this city think too small.  It pains me to say this but FW will never be able to compete with Dallas, Houston or Austin.  FW is more like El Paso or Shreveport.

#107303 New Title Sponsor for Colonial

Posted by jefffwd on 14 November 2017 - 12:46 PM

Well, since it is now "Sundance Square by Nissan" perhaps they could sponsor the Colonial as well?  Honestly, I don't know who sponsors the other tournaments but what about Nike, Titleist, Chili's or since it is the oldest tournament how about the "I've fallen and I can't up @ Colonial"?  ;-)

Rendering via FWBP. Should start Sept/Oct and be done by 2019.

The cantilevered glass area reminds me of Sears Tower's Skydeck, just minus 102 floors.

I just hope someone gives the poor woman on the left some Tylenol.  It looks like she has a migraine.

This is a QUICK video so don't blink or you'll miss it...  The first thing you see is the CNB clock and then the Tarrant County Courthouse when it "upgraded" in 1958.  I believe the clock tower was painted white and outlined in neon with a neon flag on top.  I wasn't even born at the time but what were they thinking?

Ya know...  I don't hate it but it looks like it should be facing the gulf on Seawall Blvd. in Galveston.  Just throw in some palm trees and maybe outline it in hot pink neon.  ;-)

#101668 Residence Inn at "Houston and 8th"

Posted by jefffwd on 13 March 2017 - 06:36 PM

Just build it and quit thinking small.  The addition of that building and the Frost Tower will make a nice addition to the skyline.  I also think that the proposed hotel in the cultual district should be left at 12 stories.  Just my opinion.

I don't see why they can't.  They swapped the lights out for LED's a few months ago.

A lot of high end retailers are located across the street in UPV...  Why would you think others would not work on the other side of the street?

http://www.simon.com...-village/stores   Blue Mesa is moving to W7th and Breadwinners is going in.  Same with the dying Chili's chain.  Chili's out Eatzi's in.
