A question arose today on one of the threads on how to reply to multiple posts. It is fairly easy and below are instructions. Please do not go overboard with this feature. I personally think quotes are used way too much around here.

Go to the thread that you want to make multiple replies. At the end of each post are a two buttons: "+ Quote", and "" Reply". Click the "+ Quote" Button on one of the posts where you want to reply. It turns red. Go to the next post where you want to reply, click the same button. Do this for each post where you want to reply. When finished, click the "Add Reply" button at the bottom of the page. This will bring up the standard window for a full reply, but each thread is now quoted. You may then type in your reply between the quoted threads, delete part of the quoted threads for discussion not needed to make your points, or reply at the bottom of the reply box.

I hope this will assist forum members in making this an even more interesting discussion board.

Now I know what that "quote" button does. I have clicked on it before and never could figure out what was accomplished by doing so.

For some reason, when I click on quote (in order to attach a prior post onto my reply), it doesn't work.  No attachment.  Can someone help me out here?  Also, I'm finding that I can't copy anything on my posts!  Is the problem with my computer, my internet provider, or with this forum website?

I found a weird thing just now. I quote replied to one post. Then right after I quote replied to another in the same thread. The board combined my two reply posts into one. Pretty cool.

Is it just me?  The quote function doesn't work!  I can't copy and paste on my post!  The "link" function here doesn't allow me to post a URL.  Anyone have any idea whether it's my computer, Windows 8.1, or this website's editing functions?

I haven't had any trouble.  However, I will look into it this weekend.

Users of IP.Board forums have reported this issue with Windows 8.1 and IE 11. IPS acknowledges the issue and apparently has a fix in version 4.0.0 Beta 1. Not sure when we'll have that fix, so unfortunately all I can suggest for now is to use another browser.
