It appears that the contractors have redirected the entrance/exit to the second level of the garage to the west, and then they have removed the entrance/exit to the third level.  Also, the stairway down from the rooftop terrace has been removed.  Thanks for being a "reporter", Austin.  I have been at meetings down the street at Historic Fort Worth, but have left in a hurry trying to get back to the office.

Looks like there was a big pour going on today for the foundation. You can peek through or over the fence and see they have quite a large pit dug.

There is a small tract of land/open space on the block directly NE of the River Tower complex that I notice everytime I drive by the area.

I imagined it being a charming parklet or possibly some type of open air plaza to be used as a centerpiece to some sort of tower/residential development in that part of town.

In it's current state it's a bit of an anomaly at that intersection.

Unique construction going on here, looks as if they have started building the lower floors already before getting rid of the garage.

Austin, if you look at the renderings you posted earlier, this is the expansion of the parking garage that they are building now.  What you are seeing are the forms for the elevator core of that garage.  To the left and right of that, you can see the columns for the new portion of the garage.  The sequence originally listed was to construct a new portion of garage, then demolish the northern portion of the existing garage (where the temporary ramp is coming in and out), then construct the new tower along 10th Street.

Riding my bike past the project this morning I noticed that the parking garage expansion appears to be completed or very nearly completed.  The latest quality photo shot of this part of the project might be a good idea.

For the life of me, when I look at the narrow site involved, I still can't figure how they're going to fit that new tower along 10th.

I also drove around the site recently to see if any progress had been made and was surprised at the site as well. However, after recently moving back to FW after 16 years in SF and seeing some of the new buildings being built there is more than enough space for a tower to be go up with little effort. It is going to be a very slender tower from the east and west.

I agree with rriojas71.  There appears to be enough room for a slender tower.  However, the northern two bays of the existing parking garage are scheduled to be demolished.  This will allow the new tower to be wider.

Also, the new building is going to be built directly behind the utility easement located on the south side of 10th Street.  The new tower will also be built on the west property line.  This forces the tower to be located as far northwest as possible, thereby increasing the size of the footprint over what is there now.

I noticed this morning (rode by on my bike) that support frames have been erected inside the northern portion of the parking garage, which means it will soon be history.  Looking back over the art rendering, I share the concern of a recent post here about the new building blocking the eastern (northern?) view of Trinity Terrace residents.  I hope the residents deprived of their view get a rent adjustment.

It appears that all of the demolition is now complete.  The lower section of Trinity Terrace right below north side of the existing tower has been removed.  The base of the tower crane is now in place. The contractor is also excavating the northwest corner of the property.

I was at Historic Fort Worth today, and I did not notice anything going on.  However, I was on the opposite side of the building.  I will be back tomorrow, so maybe I will get the chance to see what is occurring.

Overall view. I imagine the horizontal section of the crane is about how tall the tower itself will be. If you look near the bottom of the crane you can see the peice that they use to extend it is on, so I assume at some point they'll jump the crane to a larger height when the building is further along.

"Skyscraper enthusiasts have long lamented Fort Worth’s tendency to not go big with its downtown towers, but it’s not something that’s bothered me all that much. ... of greater importance is how the city functions from street level."

Well said, Kevin.

I sure keep thinking they will demo the original Trinity Terrace tower.  Especially since much of their view of downtown goes away with the new tower (Towers).

Maybe the view of the parks and the Westside offsets that loss.

I couldn't see them demolishing the original tower unless to build a larger, more modern facility. The west side still has killer views of the park and the growing west side.

The way the new towers have been positioned, the views of the skyline have only been limited some by their construction.  The City Tower sits to the south of the original tower and the River Tower only totally blocks views to the north.  The only units that I think would have their views severely limited would be the ones that face due north on the end of the original tower.  Those units are shown in the construction photographs.

Wow, this is like Fort Worth's version of SkyHouse (except for retirees instead of everyday people).

This is not a SkyHouse-brand building, but I could be fooled by these pictures if I didn't know any better.

This seems to be going up very quickly, similar to SkyHouse-brand buildings in other cities.

If the camera were zoomed out more, we might be able to see it. For whatever reason, they zoom in to the point that 777 Main is cut off.

On two different occasions, I've seen the camera zoomed all the way out to the point you can see Burnett Plaza and the Omni, so I don't know why they normally have the camera zoomed in so far.

They are moving quite fast with this tower.

My guess on the zoom for the camera is that they want to highlight the 7th Street Bridge.
