I am likely in the minority here but I just never liked Fireside Pies. I am not sure why, I love pizza but just never could get into that place. My wife loved it.

Honestly, I could understand not making it in (former) Crockett Row... if they couldn't make it work here, then maybe it was just them.

They had a corner spot and everything.

I don't think they moved because they couldn't make it work in Crocket Row because when it was there it always had a good crowd on most days of the week.  I believe they moved for other reasons...  According to Bud Kennedy from a Star Telegram article in Feb of 2022, "Fireside Pies closed due to the “changing traffic,” along with industry challenges, a spokeswoman said in a written statement.  And other restaurants who left the area said “The money is made from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. down here. .... They want something different than what we have,”

The new building feels massive, those two floors make a difference.

I drove home down Forest Park one evening this week and noticed that there's some sort of projector screen on the roof facing the pool on the building to the north of the one of the one in your photo.  It looks huge.  That's a nice amenity.

That seems like a great location: right on the trails, tons of shopping and dining options within walking distance. I wonder what a 2BR runs per month?

A heck of a view from that pool.

I'm pleased that the two projects introduced the angular twist from the 7th grid to the downtown grid orientation (also the river) to make them more interesting and the views more pleasant.

I will agree with you Roverone.  However, the views of the skyline from the levee on the west side of the river, aren't bad either.
