Thanks John.  For a second, after clicking on the forest park hospital link you provided, I thought I was looking at the buildings (under construction or recently completed) I can see out my office window that are at the NE corner of Forest Park and W. Rosedale.  That rendering plus the name "Forest Park" had me a bit confused for a moment.

Here's more about the new mixed-use project at Clearfork: http://www.streetlig...-clearfork.html

From the distance, I've seen a parking garage being built in the Clearfork development, but I haven't been able to tell if it's for these apartments or for the hospital.

^That looks very pretty. I hope the rest of this project looks just as nice. As far as I've seen, the buildings themselves look great (The hospital especially) but how they come together will be the true test on how nice this project will be from an urban standpoint.

Has anyone seen a master plan or seen if any retailers have committed to this yet?

The Clearfork website is finally up and running.

No huge breaking news in there, but there is a new site plan. This is the first I've heard that Look Cinemas will open a theater at Clearfork.

Alright that looks great! Loads of mxed use and seems to have some great walkability  Looks like the initial action will be focused on the northwest corner. Never heard of Look Cinemas but seems like a fancy brand.

That said, the website does not appear to be working for me.

Edit-website works. Looks great! Maybe my new most anticipated project. Very exciting.

The Star-Telegram reports that the Clearfork developers are seeking $30 million in incentives from the City Council. The article includes a new rendering:

With all the other development around, this seems like an unnecessary thing.  But, govt's like more tax money.

Look at the site plan shown in earlier post.

It appears that Edwards Ranch Road will really be a division between the east and west halves of the development.

It seems reasonable to project that the combination of a wide road (Edwards Ranch Road) and buildings set back behind parking lots on either side will give it a suburban feel and really divide what otherwise seems to be a very nicely walkable district.

I know this is driven by what retailers desire so that they have greater visibility and visible parking but just wanted to point that out to see if others agree and if this prophecy comes true.  I hope I am wrong but we will see, if it is actually built this way, how often people walk across Edwards Ranch Road.

Hope I am wrong.

I don't take photos, but I've observed the construction of the first three buildings along the Trails over the past several months  (while bicycling to and from work).   I'm not sure where they are depicted in the artist's drawing.

The buildings that have been under construction over the last few months are the Forest Park Medical Center.  Those are shown on the far left side of the site plan.  From the rendering, I think you can see the hospitals parking garage in the far distance.

Thanks, but the project sign showing the artist's drawing also said "pedestrian bridge coming soon," or something like that.  I'm going to try to take a photo of these buildings (one pleasant sunny afternoon) and download here.

The hospital has been framed for quite a while.  They have installed all of the windows and they are working on the facade.  The large cantilever in front has also been in place for a little bit.  The reason that I haven't taken any pictures is that I'm always over there on bicycle.

I took these photos last week of the Forest Park Medical Center building project (I guess that's what it is) while biking along the Trinity Trails.  The first is a close up of the building in progress.  The photo below was taken from a distance looking east from the Trailhead park.

I saw this in the paper. I am glad they are staying in the city, and in the loop. I wonder what will happen to Ridgmar. I also wonder if we can get Saks back it town (although that company isn't doing well, they couldn't even make it in Austin).  I honestly think that more upscale shopping options will health tilt the balance of regional power further west as many of our wealthy in-towners, and suburbanites (Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake) won't have to always go to Northpark or the Galleria in Dallas to buy higher-end items. Now if we can work on getting more jobs downtown.

I got some clearer pictures of the hospital. It's looking very good, nearly complete. Everything else in the northwest quadrant of the area is dirt and there is a lot of it being moved.

Notice the trees on the roof ^

Some additional rendering of residential units have creeped up on the site as well. Everything looks really great about this project.

That sure looks like the Nieman Marcus font down there... There's a new siteplan on UCR's site that lists it as NM as well. Betting Niemans is a lock for that location.

Also a siteplan for the residential section

The The Trailhead at Clearfork is going to get better: Cassco Development plans an 11,000-square-foot cycling and fitness center that includes a full-service bike shop, coffee and juice bar, fitness studio and rooftop bar, which will overlook the Trinity River. Construction starts this fall with a spring 2015 opening. Complimentary yoga, Pilates, rock climbing and more will continue at The Trailhead during construction. That copper is very high dollar and will age to green assuming it isn't heavily coated. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I like the copper, and as Volare mentioned, it is not cheap.  Anyone know what those buildings are supposed to be?

The copper clad buildings are office buildings.  One tenant leased building, the other owner occupied.  The third building is the owner's private gymnasium.

The majority of the construction area is now fenced off so you cant get up close like my first two pictures from post 87, but the parking garage offers a fantastic view of the project. Plus, a stunning view of the surrounding landscape.

It's not "open", but it was done I guess, there were no cones blocking the driveway like in the past, and there was maybe a dozen cars there, looked like people were decorating or something inside. So, I just parked and took the elevator to the top.

I think right now this is the most exciting and biggest project going on in FW, at least until Left Bank starts going vertical.

What's always struck me as funny is that Fort Worth has more buildings than you'd realize, but they're  all shrouded in trees!  Heck, I'm not complaining about the flora and fauna; just think FW is a "hidden" city.
