While at Open Streets today, I spoke to someone at the Vaqueros booth.
Don't take what I'm saying as a solid fact, but he basically told me that the ballpark is supposed to be demolished by the end of this year.
Just letting you know...
While I am glad I (and he) was wrong about this, still feels like it happened...

No news here, but back when the Cats were still playing, I said more than once that the owners and the city should pursue a minor league affiliation with a MLB club. LaGrave would have been a great short or long season A ball or rookie league park. In the shuffle and contraction of the minor league system, an independent league team in Texas was able to do just that and actually did better. The Astros purchased the Sugar Land Skeeters with plans to make the team their AAA affiliate.

Just paste the Youtube link into your post.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8BJq9k4n9QThe board automagically renders it.
You're too young to be technology impaired. Sheesh.
Yeah, I don't usually post videos here...

So, outside of the field (for the most part), I don't have any of the exact measurements... hell, I KNOW I botched the dugouts (both the team and suite boxes) but I'm not gonna focus on being 100% accurate for obvious reasons.
I'll be working on this sketch model of LaGrave just to give you an idea of what I'd want it to look like as an AAA park. Starting now.

Not the exact facade or even roof system I'm looking for, but you get the idea.
The eastern (Jones St.) home plate entrance has "LaGRAVE FIELD" overhead, while the space I'm leaving for on the northern (7th St.) end is left blank, maybe for a sponsor... say "American Airlines LaGrave Field"

Tickets... Seats (up to 999, now)... and "Rahr Bar"...

seeing Jeriat's renderings and visions got me wondering about Riders Field, aka Dr Pepper Ballpark where the Rangers AA affiliate plays, and what development was like around it...

is what's in Frisco perfect? Heavens no. But seeing the death, decay, and abandonment of LaGrave and the area around it and comparing what's happened in each area over the last decade has me weeping...
With the Main Street bridges now open, some building finally happening (Encore) and lots up for sale, heaven help by 2030 we have local baseball and an exciting neighborhood blooming

The area around the ballpark is nice looking, but there's just not all that much to do that's in walking distance. Just apartments.

Which is exactly why I'm hoping for something along the lines of a Wrigleyville... or something like Charlotte where there is a lot of residential, but there's also a hotel and plaza nearby, plus it's actually in downtown, so there's plenty that's already built up.

Unfortunately, I lean more and more that we will have the exciting neighborhood but no baseball.

Look at item 5. Fort Worth Cats Logo trademark update.
I was hoping they'd post the video from the FW Sports Authority Inc. Board meeting but no such luck.

I'm guessing the logo trademark was related to the Ranger's new City Connect uniforms: https://www.mlb.com/...connect-jerseys

I some one person on social media thought it looked like a deck of playing cards.
The Padres certainly look festive:
