Pamela and I decided to cook a post thankgiving dinner last evening. i had about four hours to help before going back to work. so tonight we decided to set up up the dining room table to have the dinner laid out and photographed . So I got out my Novatron 1500 and took some photos. The whole photo opportunity took over two hours. What a job for a simple set up.
I am a little rusty but I got some got results. ihaven't used my lights in over a year. I also took some w/o the lights. Happy Holidays Everyone!!!!!

Beautiful pictures all! I love to admire other people’s work, always great to see how people put a different look to everyday objects and how it varies from photographer to photographer!

I have about 16 years of weather related pictures/video; I will keep my pic’s to the FW area and related to topic.

Thanks all for sharing your great work! IPB Image

You were standing about 300 yards from the house where I grew up when you took that. Too bad I didn't have the idea to take pictures of the construction of 820 (the Lake Worth bridge, especially) when I was 10. Man, that highway totally wrecked the rural feel of that part of the lake when it was built. :-(

I "briefly" slowed down on the ramp from I-35 to west bound I-30. I think I got a few honk's for my actions. I would have honked too.... if some idiot was in front of me slowing traffic and hanging his camera out the window (while driving). LOL... Photography definitly has its moments! biggrin.gif

I havent bothered to even look at this post. But was glad to see Jonny post the one and only view of DT.
That I call the wall of towers. Cant wait to see "The Wall" get a little bigger to the east. This skylive view to me, is what a basic city skyline ought to look like.

Just a hint the steps from the old Beth El synagogue has a nice spot for a DT Fort Worth view. This area is the only view where you can see all top five(and soon six) towers . That don't hind behind one another.

You should make some of the black and whites, mount them on white mats and sell them at the Main Street Arts Festival. I would certainly buy some as they would look great in my office or home...Let me know if you ever decide to do that as they are really good.

Thats a great idea! And his photos are really that good!
But you have to bid to set up shop at the Arts festival!
Thier about 1000 venders every year that want to come
to the Fort Worth Arts Festival. But only 300 are accepted.
But who knows give it a shot! smile.gif

I'm sorry I have been slow in answering this question. I do not have a correcting lens. I stood as far back from the building as possible and tried to keep the camera as level as I could. The rest was corrected in PhotoShop CS2. The lens is an 18-70mm zoom.

A friend brought over her SLR the other night so I could help her figure out how to use it.

I’m hooked.

As of this week what are the best SLR bodies and lens combinations for the following:
  • Architecture – entire structures and panoramas.
  • Architecture – details, cornice, unique pediments, columns or caryatids, balustrades and such.
  • Something that would enable me to capture the detail of say a registration sticker parked in Sundance Square from the 28th floor.
