I liked this question and wanted to discuss it further.

The question I have is, what is a "masterpiece" of a downtown high-rise building these days?  Anyone have an exemplary design of a skyscraper already built here or elsewhere to show?

What do ya'll think of some of these recents?

The trend is obviously very glassy, not much masonry used, even in buildings much shorter than 1,000 feet (all the ones above are over 1,000)

The Saturn 5 rocket looks better than the Shanghai trio.  Seriously, though, I like the imaginative design of the Comcast Center in Philly.

Well it is the 21st century, so we should be seeing a trend to more glass towers, according to every single TV show, movie, and cartoon we've all seen in the past.

But there's going to more "old school revivals" since everything repeats. Even for those 1000 ft or mores.

Although Art Deco is my favorite style, those are all beautiful.
