I have been collecting Fort Worth history for 20 plus years - and I am going to open a museum to let the public view my collection. My cousin Jack White collected photos - I have gone a step further . I will keep you posted as to the open date.

detail larry, you probably have some May 1949 flood photos, but I believe I have a few black and whites, if you interested.

Ok thanks

It's taking me awhile to get around to scanning the four BW photos in my family's album (I previously submitted a photo or two about 10 years ago to a fellow attorney Chris Heis who was helping set up a 1949 flood exhibit in town).

FYI:  One photo is an areal shot of the Linwood neighborhood, including the almost submerged old MW building; another photo of the almost submerged (up to roof and sign) of the Western Olds Co. building; similar photo the Virgil Loafman New & Used Cars building; and the fourth photo is of a guy in a boat in forefront staring at the water up to the sign and roof of the Safeway supermarket.  If you don't have duplicates already, let me know and give me time to scan and e-mail you.

I have these photos because my parents were among the Linwood residents who had to be relocated (kinda dates me but I was born long after that--heh, heh!).

Larry,  my sister will be in town October 20, 2017.  I'd love to arrange for a tour of your museum then.  Thanks.
