These are great photos. Thanks for posting them, as it has been a long time since I have been to Houston. I appreciate the photo of the Foley's store, because I was wondering how the Macy's signage would alter the original 1940's Foley's sign on the building. I see they put a postage stamp sized sign on that 10 story blank facade.

Nice photos. Are the crowd shots from the Super Bowl or something more recent?

The day shots are recent
Most of the night shots were a Big Sporting Event (Allstar Games). Superbowl was even crazier believe it or not - We tried to leave downtown Superbowl Saturday at around 1:00am....by the time we got on the train - packed liked sardenes mind you, and made it back to the Fannin South Park and Ride, and got home (southeast houston)...it was 3:30am.
Holloween and Art Car Week also get pretty crowded, but not as good as these big sports events.....with the exception of the Astros season last year....that got crazy downtown also. Saturday nights can get wild also, but again, more tame than these sports crowd parties.

Thought I'd add a few of my shots from a while back. I love the new Justice Center.

And finally, the obligatory mass transit photo:

Awww sniff. Great photos of my home of fifteen years. Can't believe it's been nine months since we left. Shhhhhh, don't tell my husband that I miss it!
