If anyone is interested, the old neon Vivian Courtney's Restaurant sign is available to anyone who wishes to take it away. It is a two-sided exposed neon sign with the letter "V" on top. It sits at the corner of Jacksboro Hwy. and Roberts Cut-Off Road. I tried to find a home for it with two organizations, but they did not have a place to put it. Now I'm offering it to the forum to any member who thinks they can remove it and preserve it. The sign is about 28 feet tall and about 12 feet wide at the widest point. If you are interested, send me a PM or an e-mail.

The city of Lake worth will be opening an historical museum soon. Maybe that could be donated to it so everyone can enjoy it.

Is this still available? I'm new to the forum but am a 45 year native of FW.

I will check with the friend of mine that offered it originally and I will see if it has not been claimed.

We looked at it for NTHT, but couldn't make it happen because we would have been responsible for making the large concrete base go away too. I drove past it on Sunday, so I believe it is still there. Don't know if it's been given away yet.

Thanks for the info. I'll drive by & see what would be involved in removing the sign.

Bud Kennedy had an article in Sunday's Star-Telegram on the recently hit and downed William's Ranch House Sign.

Joshw, if you are serious about dismantling it and taking it, I will contact my engineer friend that originally offered it.

I would love to have the sign and put it up in my front yard, but my homeowner's association would kill me.  We need a good neon sign museum like they have in Las Vegas.

Fantastic. Sorry I was away for a couple of days. Let me run out there and ensure I have the room for it and then get back with you in order to get the ball rolling.

I guess as of this week, nobody has claimed it. I drove by there and saw it was still up.
