Another interesting discovery in the FAA records...

Someone has asked permission to build a 600 foot flagpole, the structures name is "World's tallest flagpole". The location is near 156 outside the TMS gates, so my guess is this is a part of TMS itself.

A crane has also been asked about. The crane an LR-1300, and the dates are 07/24/2015  to  07/23/2016.

The current tallest flagpole is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and stands 561 feet. It has been the tallest since last year.

Also of note: The Saudi Flag atop the world's tallest flagpole was made by Lone Star Banners and Flags right here in Fort Worth (South Main Village).

^ That is a fun bit of trivia! Would be neat to see them be able to do such a project in their own backyard.

I checked the coordinates more closely, this is no doubt a TMS project, it looks like it would be right behind Big Hoss TV and at the end of Mark Martin Dr. TMS seems the type to have both the funds and ambition to attempt such a project, and It could pay off as a bit off a tourist attraction in itself.

I am curious if it would get FAA approval, it seems like if could interfere with eastward heading planes from Alliance.

Also wondering if this was a part of the "big" announcements Betsy Price had mentioned for July... We've only got a few days left.

600 feet? That's slightly taller than Fort Worth's tallest skyscraper.

Sounds like the FAA is saying no.

I recently noticed Eddie Gossage has a Twitter, so I asked him there.
