My 1949 city directory shows the Stone Hotel located at 210 1/2 W 10th Street furnished rooms, Janie Parham owner lived on the premise widow of Bryan C..
George S. Hunnicutt's Barber shop was at 212 W 10th.

That was probably the way it was back then. It looks like you solved that problem Tarzan 1946! Even though I was fairly young when I saw that old hotel, it made an impression on me of being an old time western-era hotel.

I grew up in FW back in the 50's and 60's. I remember riding the TCU bus to town and passing block after block of walk up hotels, especially along Main St. where the convention center is now. I don't remember the Stone Hotel, but I was wondering if anybody remembers the Jackson Hotel. A lot of young men lost their innocence in that hostelery back in the day. This is my first posting. I promise not to bring up such racy topics in the future.
