Two members of this forum, Ron Payne and myself (and probably others)are musicians. Is it ok to post about personal projects in Arts and Entertainment? I can't speak for Ron but I would like to let you all know about upcoming gigs, new songs, etc.

I'm all for shameless self-promotion (see various songs and photos posted here)! Personally, I'd like to know of upcoming gigs, songs, etc. In fact, I spent Sunday in Austin because my brother-in-law wanted my help recording a silly song of his, and found a friend of his with the appropriate equipment, so we recorded all the parts. Lots of "post-production" work to do - while I drank my Dews, they opted for beer, and things got a bit "looser" as the day progressed!

Anyhow, one vote for yes on your idea, and I think that's all it takes?

PS - JohnS is also a musician, and at a much higher level than I am!

Hi Folks,
Been out of town for the past couple of weeks (Cincinnati) but anything music/guitar related is always interesting to me. Don't know what category this topic best fits into but please post about your newest music projects. Fort Worth is sometimes mentioned as not having much of a music and arts scene but I think that is an inaccurate perception. No, we're not going to surpass Austin in that regard, but there's plenty of talented musical individuals in our community. Ron blends music with art to come up with some very intriguing videos-check 'em out when you have time. Rock on-Fort Worth!

Awesome! For the time being, I'll just post in Arts & Entertainment.
