Is there an easy way to resize the display size of a picture by way of BBCode or HTML Code? If one does not have the ability to resize the picture before it is saved to the server or if one just forgets to do it before uploading, isn't there a way to limit the size with code?
BBCode or HTML

I don't know of any way through BBCode.
Through HTML it is possible to adjust the display size of an image, but the full-size image is still sent from the server to your browser so it wouldn't save bandwidth (and would actually add processor cycles on the client side to do the resize). Plus there's not a way for users to directly modify the forum's HTML. Well, that I know of.

If I were doing it in html, I would type:
How does one reduce the DISPLAY size of a picture displayed here? I'm not trying to change the forum's html code or save bandwidth. I am trying to make pictures fit on a nominally sized display.
Using the bbcode routine, I can only attach the picture at the size it is set on the server. If I have no access to the server, then I can't resize the photo.

I don't think there is any way in which to do it, other than allow HTML code on the forum.

OK. I was admonishing people for posting overly large pictures on the transportation page the other day and I thought I would try to find a solution to suggest. But, since there isn't one readily available, I will just ask them to edit the source file. Thanks.

We use dual 24" monitors so the page just goes for ever on the right side.
Any images we post here are html hyperlinked to the originals located on my server.
I recommend an image width no wider than 800 pixels and around 80kb +/- file size
Which reminds me some day soon I should go delete all images on my server that are older than 2 years.
Of course those links would become dead no content links.
