On Amazon.com, as a lark , I typed in Hipolyte, the Queen of the Amazons. Not Taken!
After that it became almost a default. Poor Hipolyte. Once the consort of Heracles and Theseus, and beloved of greek tragedians...now forgotten.
Only much later did someone point out the modern conotations of being a 'queen'.
Secure in my literary masculinity (or lazy) I persist.

360 because we take 360 degree imaging for large companies, organizations and corporations. Our primary focus is attract world wide internet attention to FORT WORTH, TEXAS as a tourist destination. "360Texas.com" as a Texas woman owned digital imaging supplier marks its 8th year in business this year 2005. Are we having fun yet? You better believe it !
However, we also have been known to do imaging work in New Mexico, Florida and Cancun Mexico.
We are just now finishing up our recent project with a Dallas advertising and marketing firm.

Old nickname, because I am. In fair-skinned races true "redheads" account for less than 6% of the population---a rare breed and becoming rarer.
So, did you see the South Park about Gingers? Pretty funny.

Also..."a small, brown songbird" which is somewhat descriptive.
Not particularly exciting, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Actually, named after an American Revolution era relative, family has roots in UK / Scotland. Whilst ego surfing a while back discovered a “David Love” Store on the way down to Austin, which has been there for 100 years, it’s evidently held that name for a good number of years.

Also..."a small, brown songbird" which is somewhat descriptive.

Rusk Street was once the name of present day Commerce Street; and the name was removed as it was felt that the intemperate establishments doing business on Commerce Street at that time dishonored and defamed the name of Thomas Jefferson Rusk. This area was euphemistically known as Hell’s Half Acre.
I like that the some of the major streets in DTFW are named in honor of significant individuals in Texas history (Houston, Throckmorton, Calhoun, Lamar).
I believe that the name Rusk should be returned to DTFW.

When I registered, I thought I was specifying "gotutex" as my user name . . . but apparently I messed up the registration, so the name I intended never show up online. Where did I go wrong? Now that the damage is done, is there a quick fix for this problem? Is it better to just stick with "G. O. Todd"?

I can fix it if you wish. Just tell me the exact way you want your new name to read in a PM.
Here goes: gotutex
Thanks for the rescue. My user name is pretty obvious. First, you get my initials; next, where I went to school for about the first half of my life.

Art Cooler? Picked that name for what brought me to Fort Worth...I'm a central plant operator at the Amon Carter Museum, looking after chillers, air handlers, boilers, etc. I'm responsible for maintaining a tightly controlled indoor climate for preserving the museum's vast collection. Working in the cultural district is sweet.
I am quite pleased to be away from the Dallas side of things. My wife told me about this forum and I've found it a great way to learn more about my new home. I look forward to becoming more active on here as time allows.

I was needing on online name when I first got into usenet. I was looking around the room trying to figure out a unique name and the big (and very rare) catfish swam into view. I picked it and have been using it ever since. That was when a 200MHz Pentium-Pro was cutting edge technology. I also use it for my avatar everywhere.
