Isn't this the impenetrable house? There's a good posting buried somewhere on the forum discussing it...
I have been curious about that house for many years. I have never read anything about it.
It is the house I would build for myself. (Secure with a view of Downtown.)
I also wonder who owns it, and for how long etc... Would love to talk with the person to see what makes him tick.
Funny thing is, it may be a completely different story then we guess. (ie,. He didn't require it to be secure, just had a lot of left over steel at his business. And did not want a view of Fort Worth but needed all the windows high to grow dope.) We speculate.
If anybody knows about this building I will give you a buck to let loose with it.
I found the original forum thread about this house and stormalong's story:
"I have a friend who used to live not too far from that house several years ago before the death of the owner. He told me some time back that once when he was out running an errand, he happened by the house when the owner was out. My friend struck up a conversation with this guy and learned that the property already boasted a nice view of DTFW with its elevated terrain. The guy bought the property and tore down the house that was there, designed, and built this new one. My friend was treated to a tour of the house which included Star Trek like doors on the ground level. He said also that the windows in the upper level with the view of FW were built in such a way that even if one were broken in the process of attempting a burglary, their framing was too narrow for a human to slip through. I too would not mind having a tour of the house."
What do you think?
