I flew to Brisbane several times over the past year for work. Very cool city. Managed to see the third place match for the Women's World Cup when that was going on. Imagine a stadium on the edge of downtown with exactly zero parking spots (other than handicapped parking). The only way to access the stadium was via foot, train, or bus.

Race Street has several problems. One of them is a nearly monopolistic ownership of properties on the street that allows a business to get off the ground, and then chokes it to death with rent increases once successful. I'm pretty convinced that Race will never reach critical mass due to this.

A very unfortunate and wasteful turn of events. Trashing the entire system and bringing in a new one. That’s gotta offset a ton of the environmental benefits that the system generated. Not great.

Although the location of this station is very convenient for me nearest my kids school, the traffic flow problems have generally kept me from using it other than the couple of times that I tried it.
