In my quest to get a handle on how the railroads of Fort Worth's past interacted with one another, I find myself looking at a lot of photos. The photographer of the linked photo liked this particular location and it seems very familiar to me, but I can't quite place it. Anyone know where this photo was taken? Bonus points for the name on the building in the background:

I believe the location is between Handley-Ederville Rd. and NE 820 in Richland Hills. The railroad track runs along Hwy. 121. The name of the company is Waples-Platter(wholesale grocery supplier) At one time it was called White Swan which was in the same business. The building is still there but I have no idea what is there now since I have not been out there in some time. The picture was apparently taken from the 820 bridge looking west.

The TRE uses that track today.

Thank you malibu. I haven't been over that bridge in a very long time. That explains why it's familiar but not immediately obvious where it was taken. I remember that building being marked with a White Swan sign, but I can't say I remember the name Waples-Platter.

It was Waples before white swan. I'am guessing that picture was taken back in the late 70's or 80's.

It's after the Frisco-BN merger, anyway.

I applied for a job (when it was White Swan) in 1978 as a warehouse foreman. But they thought I was too young and too inexperienced for the job.

...and before August 1983 when the last locomotive in Frisco red and white was painted in BN green and black.

Thanks to everyone for the responses.
