FWW article was taken down as quickly as it was put up but they still have a secondary link to the twitter content. Without taking sides, from what I gather, this appears to be centered around a disagreement about business policies and preferential treatment. I wouldn't be suprised if there isn't some swift legal action happening behind the scenes knowing that privacy is something that some people pay a lot of money to protect.
Maybe someone with a legal background can chime in....Can a business owner use someone's name with the intent to defame the person over a disagreement about a business policy and not expect to be faced with some sort of defamation lawsuit? Is there any expectation of privacy between a paying customer and a business operator in this case? What if they rang up a $1000 bill, paid but left no tip. Would the bar manager be in the wrong for taking a picture of that their bar tab showing a $0 tip and sharing their name on twitter?
No, there is absolutely no chance of a defamation lawsuit happening, much less succeeding, in this case. On another note, the idea that you can pay for privacy in this country kind of adds to the idea that this group of people are out of touch. .
