I went by there a little after 8 PM and there were several guys from the demolition contractor getting things ready for tomorrow morning. I suspect they will be hitting things early.

Nitixope, did it appear the sign was being set aside or was it going in the scrap heap with everything else?
The machine operator did a wonderful job plucking the sign off the building and gently setting it down with minimal damage. Leads me to think someone may still come get it later. Its currently sitting in the middle of Hemphill.

I have uploaded my full video of the sign being removed on Architecture in Fort Worth's Facebook Page. You can find it here:

Let's also try this. I uploaded the video to my Flickr account. Click the photo and it will lead you to the video.

It looked like, as of about 1:20, the sign was no longer there. Hard to tell as I was just driving by.

I just went back to shoot a few more pictures, and I was hoping that was the case. There is now building debris where the sign was sitting in the street.

Channel 8 had a story on the demolition that I caught over the air this morning. The link is below:

Evidently they showed up right after I left yesterday afternoon because they interviewed the two people that were there at that time.

At least the demolition was done with a permit and in broad daylight; anyone remember the 7th Street Theater?

Yes, everything was done legally on this demolition.

Maybe they'll put a Tesla supercharger here.

Hate seeing this. My understanding the building was very structurally sound. I don't know why they couldnt have incorporated the building into the new facility.

I saw a FB post from someone selling the sign. The account was private so Im unable to link to it.
Was it refurbished or as-is?
