I like this building... faces the sea in Tel Aviv. I understand the designer has some fame in Eurpoe; any help with identification would be appreciated.

Cranes in the distance demonstrate, Jerusalem is still under construction.

Mixed use is all the rage in the old city.

The Dome of the Rock is an oasis of calm in bustling East Jerusalem.

In Petra (Jordan) the transportation methods are the tried and true.

And the building materials are always local

Wow those pictures from Petra are incredible.

I see I wasn't the only one to take my IRS Stimulus Check and go spend it in another country.

As far as the architect on the first building the architect is Leon Geneva.

Here is a website with more info on the building.

I didn't get a check, what a bummer, so I got to go to Quanah. Petra has been on my list of places to visit for a long time, I'm jealous. rollwink.gif

Wow, very nice. Petra is on my short list of places I want to see as well.

I got a chuckle out of the Russian souveneir shop in Jeusalem.

There have been a lot of Russian immigrants to Israel and I suppose a lot of visitors. There's even a Russian Orthodox church at the bottom of the Mount of Olives. Here's a view from the Temple Mount:

Thanks for those photos. They're beautiful and I also hope to go there one day.
