Ok, it's really 13, but I'm counting the multiple Trinity Uptown and SWSW sites as one each.

Some of you have already seen this in the other thread where I picked out sites around town where I think would be a great spot for a soccer specific stadium. Where would the perfect place for a facility that houses an Major League Soccer club, high school football, high school soccer, rugby, field hockey, lacrosse, concerts, fire works shows, possible FCS National Championship games and FBS Bowl games?

Here are the sites.

#1A: Trinity Uptown (river option)

#1B: Trinity Uptown (LaGrave lot option)

I voted Farrington Field - there are a lot of great options. This is the only site where people can leave the game, and walk around to dozens of other attractions - restaurants, bars, museums, movies, shops, etc.

I have to agree; Farrington's the best site. Most of the infrastructure is already there, the stadium needs the sort of reforbishing AGC Stadium got, and the location can't be beaten.

I'm going with Northside Drive, for one simple reason: it's a soccer stadium. I think that location will draw from the large existing soccer fan base on the Northside (the hispanic community). If you want a team to succeed, take it to the people.

Technically, yes. But it really just means that it's MAIN purpose is for soccer, not the only purpose.

In this country, of course, several of them host high school/college football as well.

Stadiums have a lot of good uses! Soccer and football can both be played on fields like this, and a lot hold concerts, graduations, etc etc.
I remember someone questioning removing the track at Farrington, but nowadays a lot of stadiums don't build track facilities, like the massive new Allen HS stadium and I know Mansfield's newish stadium doesn't have a track either.

According to the FWISD site, Farrington & Clark have all-weather tracks.

Right, but do they still host events? I haven't heard of any track meets in that place lately.

I think the best location would be in the stockyards area, east of Billy Bobs and north of the roundtable. Even the old Swift or Armour meat plant locations would be great. There's plenty of parking, and a new push for new developments in this area. Which should make it more affordable for private enterprise to build it there.

In the great historical tradition of the Electoral College, I have cast my vote for Farrington Field.

I like the eastside option near Gateway Park. It could be great catalyst for revitalization.

I *like* that idea.
